Do you or someone you know have an unused wheelchair? You can donate that wheelchair to Joni and Friends and be a vital part of bringing mobility to someone with a disability! Our volunteer organization, called Chair Corps, collects used wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes to be restored and delivered to people with a disability in developing countries, who can’t afford a wheelchair. The Chair Corps team makes it easy to donate wheelchairs or other mobility equipment by providing local drop-off sites or in many cases a pick-up service for your wheelchair. Click here to enter your zip code and find a Chair Corps volunteer in your area. And you don’t have to do this alone. This life-changing gift is a wonderful opportunity for community-wide involvement! This is a great project for your church, volunteer organization, business, or local hospital. And if you or your service group is ready to do more, check back next week to see how you can host a wheelchair drive in your community!
